      <image:caption>Classes are flowing, incorporating dynamic sequences, which can be challenging, but modifications and alternatives are always given. There is a strong emphasis on core stability, correct alignment and use of  the breath. Yoga should always be non-competitive, and I always encourage people to develop their own practice and to work to their own abilities in a class. Many of my classes are attended by both beginners and experienced practitioners; they practise safely together as I teach them to understand how the yoga postures can be adapted to their own bodies.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Two years ago, I was honoured and privileged to be asked to train as a teacher of Adaptive Yoga for those living with disability. After some intense days learning and working with some disabled yoga practitoners at Stoke Mandeville Sports Centre I took over a class at Westway Sports Centre. Despite the excellent training with Mind Body Connections Europe, I was extremely nervous…I was following in the footsteps of my dear friend and mentor, Frederique Sardais, who is a leading authority on this work and an amazing teacher. It has turned out to be the most incredible journey and I have been so lucky to learn a huge amount from the wonderful people I teach, all of whom are living with differing disabilities and conditions.
